چکیده

Abstract The immunomodulatory properties of probiotics are particularly important at the establishment Th 1-Th 2immune balance early in life. A skewing to response driven by dendritic cell regulation can lead airway alteration during respiratory allergy and virus infection. Previous work from our lab have determined that oral supplementation mice with Lactobacillus johnsonii (Lj) resulted be protective against viral allergen exposure. In order further analyze whether Lj moms could alter offspring responses allergic disease, female were supplemented daily for a week before mating. Allergen-sensitized supplemented-mothers protected hyperreactivity, had diminished mucus production shown reduced allergen-restimulated 2cytokine upon later life allergen-induced responses. Maternal changed functional bone-marrow derived cells (BMDC) activated vitro syncytial (RSV), decreased expression pathological cytokines chemokines non-sensitized pups, but increased innate offspring. Neonates directly RSV infection altered long term inflammatory activity BMDC reducing proinflammatory cytokines. These results potential pre- post-natal periods protect immune distal mucosal surfaces altering systemic RO1HL144858

Hemozoin Enhances Maturation of Murine Bone Marrow Derived Macrophages and Myeloid Dendritic Cells

Background: Falciparum malaria is a severe health burden worldwide. Antigen presenting cells are reported to be affected by erythrocytic stage of the parasite. Malarial hemozoin (HZ), a metabolite of malaria parasite, has adjuvant properties and may play a role in the induction of immune response against the parasite. Objective: To determine the immunological impact of hemozoin on the capacity ...

Calcitriol modulates the effects of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells on macrophage functions

Objective(s):Some evidence showed that calcitriol has an important role in regulating growth and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). However, the interaction between mesenchymal stem cells and macrophage is not clear yet.  The current study was done to investigate the in vitro effects of calcitriol on the interactions between bone marrow-derived MSCs and rat macrophages. Material...

Differentiation Potential of Nestin (+) and Nestin (-) Cells Derived from Human Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells into Functional Insulin Producing Cells

The feasibility of isolating and manipulating mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from human patients provides hope for curing numerous disease and disorders. Recent phenotypic analysis showed heterogeneity of MSCs. A nestin progenitor cell is a subpopulation within MSCs which plays a role in pancreas regeneration during embryogenesis. This study aimed to separate nestin (+) cells from human bone mar...
